APRIL 7
Gardening workshop with mark dussel
From 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the new Edwardsburg Branch of the Cass District Library on Main Street. Dussel owns Dussel’s Farm Market and Greenhouses in Cassopolis and is a sponsor of the museum's spring perennial plant sale. Topics: Tips for successfully planting a garden of cut flowers and fresh vegetables. No admission charge.

MUSEUM OPENS FOR THE SEASON
April 14-July 25
DISPLAY: "RIDING AND WRITING FOR LIBERTY"
A display devoted to Paul Revere's ride and the signing of the Declaration of Independence during the nation's 250th anniversary.

May 15-May 30
PERENNIAL PLANT SALE FUNDRAISER
Supported by Dussel’s Farm Market and Greenhouses, this event features extensive varieties of perennial favorites and includes such stunners as miniature hydrangeas, tea roses, and numerous re-blooming daylilies. It also includes patio and cemetery flowers in pots, Concord grapes, and red, black, and gold raspberry plants. The event is manned by mueum volunteers.

HACIENDA FUNDRAISER
Takes place at the Hacienda Restaurant on Grape Road, Mishawaka.

JULY 5
America's 250th Birthday Bash
A picnic on museum grounds from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring the Phat Tuesday Dixieland Band.
JULY 9
SPEAKER: Bob Myers, Historical Society of Michigan
At 7 p.m., museum gallery. "History Myths or Facts."
JULY 21
CASS COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING
At 5:30 p.m., museum gallery.
JULY 28-NOV. 7
DISPLAY: "Thimbles, Thread, and Tea."
Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It remembers Betsy Ross, who stitched the first American flag, and the Boston Tea Party, a protest over taxation without representation.
JULY 26
MUSIC AT THE MUSEUM
At 7 p.m. on the museum grounds. "The Relics." No admission charge.

AUGUST 6-9
US 12 GARAGE SALE FUNDRAISER
Museum fundraiser along the U.S. Historic Heritage Trail. All day, Thursday through Sunday. On the museum grounds.

OPEN HOUSE AFTER THE ALL-SCHOOL REUNION
AUGUST 20
SPEAKER: BOB MYERS, HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF MICHIGAN
At 7 p.m. , museum gallery. Topic: "Pontiac's Rebellion."

History Hounds Video Recording from the Historical Society of Michigan. 7 p.m., museum gallery.
SEPTEMBER 26
SAUK TRAIL FESTIVAL: 1775-1875
An all-day event on museum grounds. Covering the years of the American Revolution through the Civil War.

OCTOBER 15
SPEAKER: BOB MYERS, HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF MICHIGAN
At 7 p.m., museum gallery. Topic: "The Worst Colonel."
OCTOBER 31
WITCHES ON THE PORCH

NOV. 10-DEC. 12
DISPLAY: "Stars, Stripes, and Christmas Lights."
A celebration during the nation's 250th anniversary with a red, white, and blue theme. American flags will adorn the Christmas tree in the main gallery and display cases will have patriotic-themed accents.

Thanksgiving
Museum is closed for Thanksgiving week.

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
At 6:30 p.m., On the museum grounds. Followed by museum open house.
