Gardening workshop with mark dussel
From 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the new Edwardsburg Branch of the Cass District Library on Main Street. Dussel owns Dussel’s Farm Market and Greenhouses in Cassopolis and is a sponsor of the museum's spring perennial plant sale. Topics: Tips for successfully planting a garden of cut flowers and fresh vegetables. No admission charge.

MUSEUM OPENS FOR THE SEASON

DISPLAY: "RIDING AND WRITING FOR LIBERTY"
A display devoted to Paul Revere's ride and the signing of the Declaration of Independence during the nation's 250th anniversary.

PERENNIAL PLANT SALE FUNDRAISER
Supported by Dussel’s Farm Market and Greenhouses, this event features extensive varieties of perennial favorites and includes such stunners as miniature hydrangeas, tea roses, and numerous re-blooming daylilies. It also includes patio and cemetery flowers in pots, Concord grapes, and red, black, and gold raspberry plants. The event is manned by mueum volunteers.

CASS COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING
At 5:30 p.m., museum gallery.

DISPLAY: "Thimbles, Thread, and Tea."
Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. It remembers Betsy Ross, who stitched the first American flag, and the Boston Tea Party, a protest over taxation without representation.

Museum fundraiser along the U.S. Historic Heritage Trail. All day, Thursday through Sunday. On the museum grounds.

An all-day event on museum grounds. Covering the years of the American Revolution through the Civil War.

A celebration during the nation's 250th anniversary with a red, white, and blue theme. American flags will adorn the Christmas tree in the main gallery and display cases will have patriotic-themed accents.
